At Lindridge, we recognise that every moment of the school day is an opportunity for learning, shaped by interactions, experiences, and discoveries. Our curriculum is more than just lessons—it is a rich tapestry woven from our vision, values, and ethos, alongside Collective Worship, the National Curriculum, Religious Education, break and lunchtime learning, and the many wider educational experiences we offer.
In designing our curriculum, we have carefully considered the world our pupils are growing up in and the future they will step into. In an ever-changing society, creativity, adaptability, and resilience are key to success. While academic knowledge and skills remain essential, we place equal importance on fostering strong social and emotional skills that will support our children throughout their lives.
Our goal is for every pupil to leave our school as a successful learner, a confident individual, and a responsible citizen. We bring learning to life by making it relevant, engaging, and purposeful—whether that means taking lessons outdoors, connecting with our local community, or providing enriching experiences that extend beyond the classroom.
Rooted in our church school vision, ‘Discovering life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10b), and guided by our core values—Hesed, Hamdah, Honesty, and Horizons—we nurture each child as a valued individual. Through our curriculum, we inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to excel, regardless of their background or starting point.

Phonics and Reading
To support the children's learning of phonics, we use Read Write Inc Phonics
Reading is supported using Read Write Inc story books and the children take home a Read Write Inc Book Bag book to continue their learning at home. This ensures that the children will be building on the phonics sounds that they have learnt in school and won't come across sounds that they don't know. This fidelity to the Read Write Inc scheme ensures the best possible reading outcomes for our younger and beginner readers.
