Religious Education, Collective Worship, and Spirituality at Lindridge St Lawrence CE VA Primary School
At Lindridge St Lawrence, Religious Education, Collective Worship, and spirituality are at the heart of our school community, guiding children to ‘Discover Life in All its Fulness’ (John 10:10b) and broaden their horizons. Through meaningful experiences, reflection, and discussion, we nurture our pupils’ understanding of faith, morality, and their place in the world.
Our Religious Education curriculum encourages children to explore Christianity as well as other world faiths, fostering respect, curiosity, and a deep sense of wonder. Collective Worship is a valued time in our daily routine, where we come together as a school family to reflect, celebrate, and grow spiritually. These moments of worship help us to live out our school values—Hesed, Hamdah, Honesty, and Horizons—which shape our relationships, decisions, and aspirations.
As a church school with a distinctively Christian ethos, we cherish our strong partnership with St Lawrence’s Church, ensuring that faith and spirituality remain woven into the fabric of school life. By engaging in prayer, reflection, and acts of kindness, we support every child in developing a sense of purpose, compassion, and responsibility, preparing them to thrive both academically and personally.
