  • PSHE and RSE

At Lindridge, we believe that PSHE and RSE are fundamental to helping children "Discover Life in all its Fullness." These subjects play a vital role in preparing pupils for life both now and in the future, supporting them to grow into confident, compassionate and responsible members of society.

Through our PSHE and RSE curriculum, children develop the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to make informed decisions, build positive relationships, look after their physical and mental wellbeing, and navigate the opportunities and challenges of modern life. We aim to nurture pupils who are resilient, reflective and respectful, with the confidence to express themselves and contribute positively to the world around them.

Children are encouraged to take an active role in school life and the wider community, developing a sense of responsibility and belonging. Through discussion, reflection and real-life experiences, pupils explore important themes such as friendships, emotions, personal safety, health, diversity, equality and citizenship. They learn to understand and value our shared humanity, while respecting and celebrating the differences that make each individual unique.

Our curriculum supports children in developing the skills and attitudes needed to form healthy, respectful and fulfilling relationships throughout their lives. It also provides opportunities to explore the spiritual, moral, social and cultural aspects of growing up, helping pupils to become thoughtful and empathetic members of their communities.

PSHE and RSE are led by Mr Pickford, and we use the Jigsaw PSHE Scheme to provide a carefully planned and progressive programme of learning across the school.

Our most recent Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) consultation took place during the Summer Term 2026, including a parent consultation meeting held on Monday 6th July 2026.

For further information about our PSHE and RSE curriculum, please refer to the documents available below. Should you have any questions, Mr Pickford or Mrs Hadley would be delighted to discuss our approach with you.
