  • Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is an amount of money given to schools by the Government for additional support. The amount of the grant differs each year and is dependent upon the number of children attending Lindridge St Lawrence CE VA Primary School and Nursery who are:

    • In receipt of Free School Meals
    • Looked after children
    • Previously looked after children
    • The children of Service families

    During 2026 -2027 period we will receive a grant of £32, 500.

Please see below to view the latest Pupil Premium Strategy documents.

    Pupil Premium at Lindridge

At Lindridge St Lawrence, we are committed to diminishing the difference in performance between pupils eligible for the Pupil Premium Grant and their peers. We have high aspirations and value the achievements of all our children; we are committed to providing each pupil with the best possible environment for learning and ensure that they are given every chance to achieve their full potential. We recognise that each child is unique and has different needs, which may well vary throughout their time in school. Our strategy focuses very much on their individual needs.

    Pupil Premium Spending

Our pupil premium money is used to provide a range of additional support for our children, and these interventions, along with quality first teaching have a positive impact on our childrens' attainment and self-belief.

Through targeted interventions, we work hard to eliminate barriers to learning and to progress. One of our main school aims is to ensure that ALL groups of pupils make good progress in order to reach age-related expectations as they move though the school.

Targeted intervention is being provided one-to-one and small tuition groups.

How will school measure the impact of Pupil Premium spending?

    • Teachers and Senior Leaders measure attainment and progress at termly intervals throughout the year.
    • All teachers are responsible for tracking the progress of all vulnerable groups, including Pupil Premium, SEND and EAL. This information is then collated and monitored by the Headteacher and SENDCO.
    • Pupil Progress meetings are held every half term at Lindridge between class teachers and Mrs Hadley to monitor impact and identify any concerns to be addressed.
    • Attendance data is collected and monitored.
    • When selecting pupils for intervention groups and support, this will not be limited to children who are in receipt of pupil premium funding, but will include other pupils with similar needs, and who we believe will benefit from the support/intervention.
    • Pupil Premium funding and its impact are a regular agenda item for the School Governors' Meetings.
