Launching in September 2026, our newly designed curriculum places our unique, rural locality at its heart. We believe that every moment of the school day offers an opportunity for learning, shaped by meaningful interactions, memorable experiences, and exciting discoveries. Our curriculum extends beyond individual lessons, creating a rich and connected learning journey that is rooted in our vision, values, and ethos.

In designing this curriculum, we have carefully considered both the distinctive community in which our pupils live and the rapidly changing world they will grow up to lead. Our rural environment provides authentic and meaningful contexts for learning, helping children develop a deep understanding of their local area while encouraging curiosity about the wider world. Each unit of learning is driven by a carefully crafted Big Question, which sparks curiosity, promotes enquiry, and gives purpose to learning. Throughout each topic, children build the knowledge, skills, vocabulary and understanding needed to discuss, debate and ultimately answer the Big Question with confidence by the end of their learning journey.

We recognise that future success depends not only on strong academic knowledge and skills but also on creativity, adaptability, resilience, and emotional intelligence. Through our curriculum, we aim to nurture confident, capable and compassionate learners who are well-prepared for the opportunities and challenges of life in the 21st century, while remaining deeply connected to the community and environment that make Lindridge such a special place to learn and grow.

Our goal is for every pupil to leave our school as a successful learner, a confident individual, and a responsible citizen. EYFS Curriculum Intent

At Lindridge St Lawrence CE Primary School, we provide high-quality EYFS education, giving children a secure and confident start to their school life. We are committed to nurturing a lifelong love of learning alongside the aims of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework. We strive for high standards, consider the development of the whole child and seek to foster resilience and independence. We aim to provide the essential knowledge that children need to prepare them for their future success and to give children the best possible start to their early education. We provide inviting classroom environments indoors and outdoors to stimulate learners and engage them in developing the three ‘Characteristics of Effective Learning’ as set out within the EYFS.

The EYFS curriculum encompasses our school characteristics: Honesty, Hesed, Hamdah and Horizons, as well as our six Christian Values: Respect, Justice, Hope, Forgiveness, Trust and Compassion.

We carefully plan our EYFS curriculum to meet the following aims:
