Welcome to Kingfisher Class
Kingfisher class, a mixed Year 3 and 4 class comprising 18 children, has Mrs Sneyd as the class teacher, and Mrs Jackson, who works 9 am – 12 noon each day, and Mrs Williams, who works 9.30 am – 2.30 pm each day, as teaching assistants.
During our class topic, to start, this term, we will be studying ‘Britain from the sky’, in Science we are studying 'Plants' and in RE the key question is: 'What do different people (Christians and Muslims) believe about God?' Please see below the links to the topic overview, the topic fact sheet and a copy of our class's Summer Term 2019 newsletter.
Homework will aim to be given out on a Thursday and will expected to be handed in on a Tuesday morning. Spelling tests will be on a Monday morning and Froggy Maths will be undertaken on a Wednesday. Please see the links below for the spellings for the 1st half of Summer Term 2019.
Spellings: Year 3/4 spelling lists
Week 1 and 2 spellings will be tested Monday 13th May
Week 3 and 4 spellings will be tested Monday 20th May
Week 5 and 6 spellings will be tested Monday 3rd June (1st day back after half term)
For this term, PE will consist of athletics on a Tuesday afternoon 1-2 pm, followed by yoga. PE kit is required to be in school every day so, that should a change in the timetable occur, the children are prepared.
All the children need a water bottle, in school, which is filled with fresh water on a daily basis and a named waterproof coat, ideally with a hood, so that children can go out to play whatever the weather! Suncream will hopefully be needed in school too soon!
Here’s to a great Summer Term 2019!
