The decision to close school will be made as early as possible and is not taken lightly.

The major factors in deciding to close school are:

• Whether there would be sufficient staff to ensure the safe running of the school.
• Would it be safe for staff, children and parents to travel under the circumstances.
• Is the school site safe and able to function as a school?
