Beautiful work - Writing:

Reception children have enjoyed reading Rosie's Walk and have used this as a stimulus to add to their map making skills. The children have also enjoyed dictating their own helicopter story which are performed at the end of the day.

What the children say

“ I like telling stories”.

“I like being in the story”.

What skills were developed?

The children are developing their segmenting skills and have started to write simple CVC words with adult support.
