Sports Funding

In September 2013, a lump sum was allocated to all primary schools which was ring-fenced and only to be spent on sport.  Each school received £8000 plus a premium of £5 per pupil.  It is now up to each individual school to decide how that money should be spent to bring maximum benefit to all pupils.  Schools will be accountable to Ofsted to show how well they use their Sport Premium to improve the quality and breadth of their PE and sporting provision, including increasing participation in PE and sport so that all pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach the performance levels they are capable of.

The Sport Premium will be extended into a second year.

For the year 2016 to 2017 Lindridge School has been allocated a sum of £8385.  The document below relate to how our funding has been targeted to raise teaching standards, develop provision and improve access to sport and PE for our pupils.
