Caroline was elected as Chair of Governors on 25 April 2018. She has been a governor in primary and secondary phases for over 15 years. Caroline began as a parent governor at Tenbury CE Primary in 1997, before becoming Chair for six years, overseeing the recruitment of a new head teacher and management structure through a difficult period of change. She became a Community Governor at The Chantry School, Martley in 2013 and enjoyed the challenge of monitoring outcomes for young people aged 11+. The experience of holding an outstanding school to account to ensure standards remained high was a great learning experience.
Caroline has been Pupil Premium, SEN and Literacy Governor in both phases - getting to know the school communities well and ensuring the “critical friend” role was accepted without fear. She is passionate about the development of children and young people and feels that her skills and experience in the role of Chair can add value to Lindridge Primary.
Outside her Governor roles Caroline is a specialist project manager and consultant working with the education, community and voluntary sectors. Caroline worked for six years for Worcestershire County Council as the first Extended Services Coordinator, piloting extended services in the area resulting in Tenbury High School receiving a national award.
Caroline is also employed by Tenbury Ormiston Academy as the Academic Mentor. This role involves meeting regularly with identified year 10s and 11s to provide assertive mentoring, guidance, motivation and, with the pupil, target setting.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time in the garden, walking the dog with her boys, and dancing, including performing at community events!
